ABOUT OUR REPORTS
MRA Reports offers a range of market reports within the building and home improvement sectors. Report topics are chosen carefully based on our team’s experience and knowledge - we focus on our strengths.

Our Report Types
MRA Building Market Reports offers three main types of off-the-shelf reports:
Supply Chain Reports
These reports provide a detailed review of a wider market, with a particular focus on distribution and the supply chain. The focus may be on the distributors, with titles such as builders’ merchants or electrical wholesalers, or cover the distribution of a group of products, such as roofing.
Our supply chain reports include primary research in the form of a survey of key distributors in the market covered.
The reports are usually 80+ pages.

Product Focus Reports
Product focus reports offer a detailed review of the market for a particular building product sector or segment.
The reports are not as in-depth, but all contain a market size estimate and forecasts for market growth. The focus is on supply rather than distribution, but distribution channels are covered.
Our product focus reports include some primary research, but not as a structured survey or necessarily with a representative sample.
These reports are usually 50-80 pages.

Market Updates
We track certain building and home improvement markets more closely.
Our quarterly update reports include the results of a survey analysing market confidence, sales expectations and key challenges in the relevant quarter. They also contain a summary of key events during the quarter – new data, company results posted, M&A and insolvencies – as well as updated market forecasts.
Sometimes we also publish survey results as separate reports. Market updates are usually 15-25 pages.

Report Content
Our market reports do not have a set template; it differs depending on the structure of, and the challenges within, each market being reviewed. However, the format is kept consistent year on year for each title, so that it is easy to see how the market is developing over time.
Within the page count, we include some context that we try to keep brief, in the form of relevant macroeconomic data, the latest construction or housebuilding data where relevant and key influencing factors such as updates to regulations, trade & tariffs, government plans and both public and private investment into the sector, where relevant.
Our reports always include a market size & growth analysis, covering a span of around 10 years, if you include the forecast. The market size will usually be estimated by value, in Distributors Selling Prices (DSP) when reviewing distributors and Manufacturers’ Selling Prices (MSP) when reviewing suppliers. All estimates for UK markets are made in GBP.
To view the main headings and the list of contents for each report, just go Reports, click on the title you are interested in, and there should be a Table of Contents tab on the page. Feel free to ask if you would like further information at report.enquiries@mra-reports.co.uk.
